Solo is an Astro store template for brands built around one product, whether you sell a lamp, bag, speaker, bike part or kitchen tool. Its signature feature combines a numbered product story with a finish switcher that changes the photograph as shoppers choose a finish. Specifications, box contents, questions and compatible parts give buyers details before they choose. The demo uses Ferrule, a fictional desk-lamp workshop, as example content you replace with your own brand, products and photographs. Solo 1.0.0 costs $67 USD one-time.
You can assign checkout links to each product or variant using Stripe Payment Links, Polar, Lemon Squeezy or Shopify. The payment provider handles the purchase and keeps the order. The optional Stripe Checkout cart lets shoppers pay for several items together and requires a server adapter and your own Stripe secret key. Solo’s cart tests used mocked Stripe; this theme has not had a hosted adapter run or a Stripe test-mode payment test. Set up prices, shipping, taxes and fulfillment with your provider, then test your checkout before publishing.
Edit products, categories, journal entries and pages in Markdown, and set your identity, palette, navigation and home page wording in src/site.config.ts. The signature feature and extras can be switched off there, including the dimmer demonstration, measured drawing and model comparison. The included drawing depicts an arm lamp; omit it or replace it when your product has a different shape. CUSTOMIZE.md provides the editing checklist, and AGENTS.md supplies instructions for editing with any coding agent. Replace the sample shipping, returns, warranty and privacy text before selling.
The optional EmDash edition switches with npm run emdash:setup on Node.js or Cloudflare, with products, journal entries, pages, menus and supported site settings edited in EmDash. This Solo download includes EMDASH.md and the emdash/ folder, with EmDash 1.1.0 tested on Node and locally in Cloudflare’s runtime. The current edition uses Markdown content and configuration files, and can be deployed as a static site when the optional cart is off.
