We make WordPress block themes and Astro templates for independent websites. Our designs are for photographers, designers, writers, and independent studios who publish portfolios, stories, journals, and projects. We offer 28 editions: 17 WordPress editions including the free Open Tabs, and 11 Astro editions. Field Manual for Astro is coming soon.
How we approach design
We start each design with a different arrangement of images, words, and space. Each has its own layouts for home, archive, and article or project pages.
We include self-hosted fonts in the theme, with their license files alongside them. The fonts are served from your own site. Our themes make no requests to other servers and set no cookies by default. Optional analytics support stays off unless you turn it on.
Every edition goes through a written release checklist before it goes on sale. Each theme page also has a live preview of the real demo pages, so you can explore the layout and inner pages. These previews are static copies; search, forms, and the editor do not work there.
Which platform suits you
Our WordPress editions suit you if you want to edit with native blocks in the Site Editor. You can change colors and fonts across your site through Global Styles or on individual blocks. No page builder is required, and your pages and posts stay in WordPress if you change themes.
Our Astro editions suit you if you prefer editing Markdown files in content collections. You manage colors, fonts, and navigation in one central configuration file, then build the site into static files. You install Astro and its npm packages separately; they are not included in the download.
Pricing and licenses
We charge a one-time payment of $47 USD for each WordPress edition, Astro portfolio and blog edition, and Astro site template for agencies, restaurants and cafés, and landing pages, and $67 USD for each Astro store template. Each edition is a separate product for one platform. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.
The download starts right after payment. Links appear on the order confirmation page and in the email sent to your checkout address. Download links stay active for 180 days after purchase; the Terms of Sale promise at least 90 days, so you should keep your own copy.
Our WordPress editions use GPL-2.0-or-later. You can change the theme and use it on unlimited personal, commercial, or client sites. Your GPL rights in downloaded files are permanent.
Our Astro editions use the Peachfin Themes Astro License. You can modify the code, build unlimited personal or commercial websites, and hand finished sites and source code to clients. You may not resell, give away, or publish the theme or a modified version as a template, starter, or kit, or sublicense it. The license inside your download applies; our Licensing page provides a summary.
Our free WordPress theme
We offer Open Tabs for WordPress free for personal writers and independent journals. You can download it directly from its theme page; leaving an email address is optional. The Astro edition is paid.
Support and updates
Each purchase includes 6 months of email support and updates from the purchase date. Support means email help with installing and using the theme as described. It does not include custom development, hosting or third-party plugins. Updates in that period reach you through the same download. When the 6 months end, you keep everything you downloaded.
