Typecase is an Astro store template for digital products, including fonts, presets, templates and ebooks. Its numbered catalog shows font families in specimen rows and other files with photographs. Font pages provide styles, size samples and license choices; file pages provide photographs, descriptions and purchase controls. The demo uses Quoin Type, a fictional type foundry, as example content you replace. Typecase 1.0.0 costs $67 USD one-time.
The signature feature lets visitors type a sample once and see it across the font index, then carry it into a family’s live type tester. They can adjust styles, size, leading, tracking and variable axes while comparing the text. In src/site.config.ts, you can switch off extras such as saved sample text, glyph grids, OpenType feature controls and dark proof. The live tester also has its own switch. CUSTOMIZE.md explains these choices, and AGENTS.md provides guidance for editing with any coding agent.
Selling uses checkout links per product or variant from Stripe Payment Links, Polar, Lemon Squeezy or Shopify. For fonts, variants can represent license tiers and style packages, each with its own price and link. The optional Stripe Checkout cart needs a server adapter and your own Stripe secret key. Typecase’s cart has only been tested with mocked Stripe; a server checkout and a Stripe test-mode payment remain unverified for this theme. You set up payment processing and download delivery with your provider.
Products, categories, journal entries and pages use Markdown files, with shop settings in src/site.config.ts. The included EmDash edition switches with npm run emdash:setup on Node.js or Cloudflare Workers, with content, menus and site settings edited in EmDash. EMDASH.md records testing with EmDash 1.1.0 on Node and locally on Cloudflare, and npm run emdash:revert restores the Markdown edition. Replace the sample license, delivery, refund and privacy text with terms for your own shop before publishing.
