Side Quest by Peachfin Themes arranges entries along a violet timeline, with dates in the margin, lime highlights and square photos alternating with text-only notes. A compact masthead introduces the site, and numbered sheets organise the timeline into pages of ten entries.

Inside each entry, second-level headings become numbered checkpoints along a vertical rail. Category shelves group entries by tag, while dedicated Log index and Archive templates give readers more ways to browse. Nineteen custom settings control the palette, masthead, spacing, photos and entry details.

Side Quest supports Ghost members, Portal signup, newsletter preferences, built-in search and native comments. Members-only and paid entries include a call to action for locked content. Responsive images, styles for every editor card and translatable theme text support varied publishing needs, with no theme JavaScript.

Side Quest suits hobby logs, personal journals, project diaries and learning logs that combine dated notes, photos and longer entries. Its category shelves, archive and membership features also suit newsletters and small publications whose readers browse by subject, follow ongoing work or subscribe to members-only and paid entries.
