Common Hours by Peachfin Themes offers two home layouts for Ghost. Day book opens with three equal chapter cells, followed by an opening story and chapter sections with text-first rows and small photographs. Diary lists every entry with a date stamp in the margin. You choose the chapter tags in the settings and can name them for times of day, seasons, rooms or subjects.
Entries pair a date stamp with a headline, reading time and writer. An optional ritual card records what a routine takes, needs and when it fits, while numbered lists become steps. The Note template gives short posts a centred header, and the Portrait and Index templates provide layouts for an introduction and a chapter-based contents page.
Nineteen custom settings control the layouts, palettes, title style and other details. Members, Portal signup, newsletter forms, built-in search and native comments connect the writing with its readers. The theme supports responsive images and every Ghost editor card, provides its interface text in a translation file, and includes no theme JavaScript.
Common Hours suits diarists and personal writers, home cooks and bakers, gardeners, parents keeping a family log, and students and teachers keeping a learning journal. Its dated entries and chapter organisation also suit writers of a slow personal newsletter, small studios or shops keeping a work diary, and anyone publishing short dated pages about ordinary days. The demo’s household day book is one example of how to use these layouts.
