Design controls

Site configuration
Edit identity, navigation, chapter names and hours, the About schedule, SEO and the footer credit in src/site.config.ts.
Colour palette
Set seven theme.colors values: paper, ink, olive, terracotta, mist, rule and muted.
Fonts and italics
Choose the serif and sans font stacks, and whether chapter names and titles are set in italic.
Layout and density
Set reading width, wide width, chapter photo size, photo corners, gutter and compact, comfortable or spacious density.
Home
Set the home heading, note, opening-story label and entries shown per chapter.
Discovery and analytics
Indexing, sitemap, analytics, llms.txt, ai.txt and IndexNow are off by default and switched on in site configuration.

Setup

  1. Install Node.js 22.19 or later, then run npm ci in the extracted folder.
  2. Set url, identity and navigation in src/site.config.ts; edit entries in src/content/entries/ and pages in src/content/pages/.
  3. Replace photographs in src/assets/photos/ and src/data/photos.json, keeping ASSETS.json sources accurate.
  4. Demo content is fictional: replace the sample entries, pages and photographs before publishing.
  5. Run npm run check and npm run build, then publish the static dist/ folder.
