Design controls

Central site settings
Name, brand, statement, navigation, contact email and footer credit live in src/site.config.ts.
Homepage opening
Choose an image or minimal text opening, pick the hero photo and set how many series appear.
Colours, font and widths
Change paper, ink, accent and rule colours, the font stack, reading width, page width and gutter.
Projects as Markdown
Frontmatter sets each series' title, summary, category, order, cover, date and project facts.
Photo registry
Register each photo with alt text, creator, licence and source; the credits page is built from it.
Search and discovery settings
Indexing, verification, llms.txt, IndexNow and GA4 with consent are off until you enable them.

Setup

  1. Install Node.js 24 LTS, then run npm ci in the extracted folder.
  2. Edit src/site.config.ts with your name, statement, contact email and domain.
  3. Replace demo series in src/content/projects and register your photos in src/data/photos.json.
  4. Run npm run check and npm run build, then upload dist/ to a static host at the domain root.
  5. Read DISCOVERY.md before turning on indexing or analytics.
