Setup

  1. On a computer, open Tumblr in a web browser and go to your blog.
  2. Open Edit appearance, then Edit theme.
  3. Under the theme name, click Edit HTML.
  4. Select all of the existing code, delete it, and paste in everything from theme.html.
  5. Click Update Preview, check the preview, then click Save.
  6. Go back to the theme settings to set the options. They appear under Theme options.

Deep Fried brings a deliberately chaotic look to your Tumblr blog with impact-style captions and clashing colours. Over-saturated images and scattered stickers add to the effect. Anton and Space Grotesk give the single-column layout its bold, playful voice.

This custom HTML theme for Tumblr’s desktop web supports all Tumblr post types. It includes reblog trails and tags, plus search and pages. An ask box is available too. Choose Background and Text colours, then adjust Accent and Pop. Highlight has its own colour setting. Switch Deep Fry Photos and Meme Captions on or off. You can also toggle Scrolling Ticker and write your own Ticker Text.
