Setup

  1. On a computer, open Tumblr in a web browser and go to your blog.
  2. Open Edit appearance, then Edit theme.
  3. Under the theme name, click Edit HTML.
  4. Select all of the existing code, delete it, and paste in everything from theme.html.
  5. Click Update Preview, check the preview, then click Save.
  6. Go back to the theme settings to set the options. They appear under Theme options.

Inspired by two-ink risograph printing, Misprint is a custom HTML theme for Tumblr’s desktop web. Fluorescent pink and blue colour its dense grid. Duotone images and deliberately misregistered type give it the feel of an artist’s print sheet.

The theme supports all Tumblr post types, with reblog trails and tags. Readers can use search or browse pages, and an ask box is included. Choose Paper and Text colours, then adjust Pink Ink and Blue Ink. Toggle Full Color Photos or Smooth Paper. Perfect Registration offers another presentation setting, and you can edit the Print Spec text.
