Proof is a store template for art, prints, posters and photography, especially work sold in numbered editions. The demo uses a fictional print studio in Bristol publishing four invented photographers as example content you replace. Prints hang at their relative sizes on the home page and shop wall, with labels showing the artist, sizes, price and edition details. Subject pages, artist biographies and a journal give you space to explain the work. Proof 1.0.0 costs $67 USD one-time.
The signature product preview draws the selected frame, mount and glazing in proportion, then shows that size and frame to scale above a sideboard. Visitors can change the wall color and compare size and frame combinations. Their choice also updates the price, checkout link, edition stamp and filled-in certificate sample. You maintain the number sold for each size yourself; updates appear after the next Markdown build or on the next EmDash request.
Add checkout links per product or variant using Stripe Payment Links, Polar, Lemon Squeezy or Shopify. The provider handles payment and order records. The optional Stripe Checkout cart combines items in one checkout and requires a server adapter and your own Stripe secret key. In Proof, the cart has been tested only with mocked Stripe in unit tests; it has not been tested with a server adapter or a Stripe test-mode payment. You set up taxes, shipping, stock limits and delivery with your provider and test your own checkout before publishing.
The default edition reads products, artists, subjects, journal entries and pages from Markdown files. Edit the layout and content with any coding agent using CUSTOMIZE.md and AGENTS.md, and switch optional extras off in site.config.ts. You can also disable selling and keep the artists, journal and pages as a portfolio. To use the optional EmDash edition, switch with npm run emdash:setup on Node.js or Cloudflare; menus and site settings are edited in EmDash. Replace the sample policies with your own text before publication.
