Pressing is an Astro store template with a filterable catalog, format choices and detailed release pages. It suits record labels, music shops, publishers, artist collectives, media retailers and independent distributors presenting products with detailed metadata. Its catalog puts numbers, titles, artists, formats and prices into rows that visitors can filter and sort. The demo uses Lathe House, a fictional independent record label, as example content you replace with your own products, images and text. Pressing 1.0.0 costs $67 USD one-time.
The signature release page combines format variants and notes with release dates, pre-order payment timing, tracklists grouped by side, running times, credits and liner notes. A rebuild on release day updates the pre-order state. Artist pages connect biographies to releases. You can turn off release details and extras such as the sliding record and sleeve grid switch in src/site.config.ts, and products without tracklists or catalog numbers use the same product layout without those sections.
Add checkout links per product or variant using Stripe Payment Links, Polar, Lemon Squeezy or Shopify. The provider handles the payment and order. The optional Stripe Checkout cart lets shoppers pay for multiple items together and needs a server adapter and your own Stripe secret key. This theme’s cart tests used mocked Stripe; no live Stripe payment test or server-adapter checkout run was completed for Pressing. Configure fulfillment, shipping, taxes and download delivery with your provider, then test your checkout before publishing.
The default content lives in Markdown files, with site identity, navigation, colors and labels in src/site.config.ts. CUSTOMIZE.md gives you an editing checklist, and AGENTS.md supplies rules for editing with any coding agent. For the optional EmDash edition, switch with npm run emdash:setup on Node.js or Cloudflare, then edit menus and site settings in EmDash. The download includes the EmDash edition, tested with EmDash 1.1.0 on Node and locally on Cloudflare. Replace the sample shipping, returns and privacy text before opening your store.
