Design controls

App identity
src/site.config.ts holds the name, tagline, navigation, footer and canonical URL.
Appearance
The palette is editable in src/site.config.ts; the demo uses orange, white and dark sections with Rethink Sans headings.
Device tour
signature.deviceTour controls the scrolling tour and device frames; false uses regular feature rows and unframed screens.
App screens
src/data/screens.json sets each image file, alternative text, device type and actual image dimensions.
Platform downloads
download.platforms sets platform ids, names, HTTPS links, versions, requirements and optional file sizes.
Privacy facts
Replace the sample privacy claims in src/site.config.ts with facts about your app.
Contact
contact.formAction sets your form provider's HTTPS endpoint, and the contact email supplies the email fallback.

Features

  • The home page moves from an app introduction and download link into features, privacy facts, journal entries and platform downloads.
  • The signature device tour places framed app screens beside their features; you can turn it off for plain screenshots and regular feature rows.
  • The feature catalog includes group pages, sorting and eight sample feature detail pages.
  • Download entries show platform names, links, versions and requirements, with optional file sizes.
  • The support page includes FAQs, and the contact form posts to your configured HTTPS endpoint or opens an email draft.
  • The optional EmDash edition lets you edit content, menus and site settings in EmDash.

What the download includes

  • Pocket 1.0.0 includes Astro source with typed content collections for features, groups, journal entries and pages.
  • The sample content contains eight features in three groups, three journal articles and five informational or legal pages.
  • Two local CC0 photographs have source and license records in ASSETS.json.
  • Original SVG app illustrations and a bundled Rethink Sans font with its OFL license are included.
  • README, GETTING-STARTED, CUSTOMIZE.md, DISCOVERY.md and AGENTS.md cover setup, editing and publishing.
  • The optional EmDash edition switches the content source with npm run emdash:setup.

Setup

  1. Install Node 22.19 or newer, then use npm ci to install the locked dependencies.
  2. Launch the local site with npm run dev and open the URL Astro prints.
  3. Set your app identity, navigation, domain, palette, privacy facts and contact details in src/site.config.ts.
  4. Replace the sample Markdown content and illustrated app screens with your own text and captures, recording each image's actual dimensions.
  5. Point download entries to your app's store listings or hosted installers, and confirm versions, requirements and file sizes.
  6. Configure your own HTTPS form endpoint or leave it empty to use the email fallback.
  7. For EmDash, run npm run emdash:setup for Node.js or npm run emdash:setup — –target cloudflare for Cloudflare Workers, then edit menus and site settings in EmDash.
  8. Run npm run check, npm test, npm run test:commerce-off — –strict and npm run build, then inspect the result with npm run preview.
  9. Verify your changed site on separate hosted staging before publishing dist/ to a static host or deploying the server build for EmDash.

Pocket is an Astro landing site template for mobile and desktop apps, priced at $47 USD one-time. An orange opening section introduces your app, white feature pages explain what it does, and a dark section presents privacy facts. The demo uses Stint, a fictional time tracker for freelancers, as example content you replace with your own app, text and images. Feature groups, download links, support and a journal give visitors places to learn more about your product.

The signature feature is a scrolling device tour that pairs framed app screens with feature explanations. Mobile layouts and reduced-motion modes use normal document flow. Set signature.deviceTour to false in src/site.config.ts to switch off the optional tour and frames throughout the site, leaving plain screenshots and regular feature rows. The screen registry supports phone frames and wide desktop window frames. Replace the included SVG app illustrations with captures of your own application.

Platform download entries link to your store listings or hosted installers and show the versions and requirements you enter. The four demo destinations are placeholders; no installers or working application are included. Support FAQs answer common questions, while the contact form posts directly to a configurable HTTPS endpoint you own. With no endpoint, the form opens a draft in the visitor’s email app, and a direct email link remains available without JavaScript. Configure your form provider’s spam controls, replies and success page separately.

Edit feature, group, journal and page content in Markdown and use src/site.config.ts for site configuration. CUSTOMIZE.md and AGENTS.md provide editing references you can use with any coding agent. The optional EmDash 1.1.0 edition switches with npm run emdash:setup for Node.js or npm run emdash:setup — –target cloudflare for Cloudflare Workers, with menus and site settings edited in EmDash. Version 1.0.0 includes the source, buyer documentation, two CC0 photographs, original app illustrations and the bundled font. Replace the sample privacy and legal text, configure your domain and indexing, and verify your changes on hosted staging before publication.
